Betsy Adams Hyatt, age 85, of Russellville passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Lakeway Regional Hospital in Morristown following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rebecca Dougherty Hyatt and former husband, William Burton. She is survived by first cousins, William Floyd of Knoxville and Tom Dougherty of Concord, TN, and a host of other cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Ms. Hyatt was a retired teacher for the Morristown city School System, having taught at East High for many years. At her request, she will e cremated. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crockett Tavern Museum, 2002 Morningside Dr., Morristown, TN 37814, or to the charity of your choice.
