They were living in Hubbard’s Cove area of Grundy County by 1850 (at various times this area was in Coffee and Warren Counties also). Their daughter Susanah (b. NC approx. 1822) m. James WOOTON approx. 1836. Susanah and James’ children were Samantha (my GGgrandmother), John H., Rhoda, William J., James J., Stephen, Sarah, Jonathon, Nancy, Emery E., and George W. By 1860 Susanah (BERRY) WOOTON had died in childbirth (George W., who survived) and William and Micah BERRY were living next door to James WOOTON and all the children (presumably to help care for their grandchildren).
