Grundy County by Nicholson, James (Memphis: Memphis State University Press, 1982). Part of the Tennessee County History series, this slender volume offers an excellent general history of the county. You probably won’t find your ancestors listed herein, but you will find a wealth of information about the place and times they lived in.
