{"id":49,"date":"2014-04-23T22:02:36","date_gmt":"2014-04-24T03:02:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/greenetn\/?page_id=49"},"modified":"2015-04-03T22:11:50","modified_gmt":"2015-04-04T03:11:50","slug":"greene-county-century-farms","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/greenetn\/greene-county-century-farms\/","title":{"rendered":"Greene County Century Farms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tncenturyfarms.org\/\">Tennessee Century Farms Program<\/a> was created in 1975 by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture as part of our nation&#8217;s bicentennial celebration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The program was originally designed as, and continues to be, a documentary effort that collects and interprets the agrarian history and culture of the state. The Tennessee Century Farms Program has a farm in all of Tennessee&#8217;s 95 counties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The primary focus of the program is to continue honoring and recognizing the dedication and contributions of families who have owned and farmed the same land for at least 100 years.
