Where would FELTER TN be located about 1826. This is the location ofbirth found on my GGGrandfather's, William Davis, Civil War papers.My Davis family moved from TN to Missouri approx. 1834 to IL (approx1837) . William Davis' father Robert W. Davis b: c 1799 in TN marriedSarah ?? b: 1804 in SC. They had four children borned in TN, 1 childin IL and 6 children in Noble, Ozark Co., MO. LEWALLEN, YOUNG
Sarah LEWALLEN is listed as head of household in 1840 census. In1860, she is listed in Lawrence County. According to censusinformation, her birthplace was Georgia. She was born around 1805. According to family oral history, she was married to Dave Lewallen,who reportedly died in a Nashville hospital soon after the birth oftheir son Thomas Marion LEWALLEN, who later moved to McNairy Co, TNand then to Texas. Another son was James (b. about 1842), who islisted in the 1870 Giles Co census (5th Civil District) with his wifeMargret (b. about 1847)and their children Beth and Thomas. Anyinformation regarding this family will be greatly appreciated. Iwill be happy to share the information I have about other Lewallens. I have no information on the Young family. Any clue will beappreciated.
