His wife was "Hanner", probably the Hannah Bush Parsons who married David E. Page Nov. 10, 1810 in Williamson County. I am hoping this couple may be the parents of my Sarah PAGE who married James HUDSPETH in 1839 in Maury County.

Hi All, I am looking for any info on Mary "Polly" Ann Rea b. 1787, as I believe she may be the daughter of James Rea and Johann Kasoinah of Henry Co.,VA. Trying to piece together the early CONNER family in Giles Co. TN: Here is what I have assumed form 1836 tax records and 1850 census. I need comments or suggestions....I need help.

On the 1836 tax list of Giles Co. Willam Conner is listed as 74 7 1 the 74 is under A/TL and the 7 is under the col heading of S and the one is under col heading of W. What doe these col headings mean.

ROBERSON (OR ROBINSON OR ROBERTSON)

Seeking information on William F. ROBERSON who lived in Giles Co., TN in 1865 when his son James Absalom Roberson was born. William's middle name may have been Franklin. Sometime before 1884 William had moved to Lawrence Co., AL where he served as Sheriff from 1884 to 1888 and Tax Collector beginning in 1888. On William's election bonds in AL, the names of E. W. Roberson and J. G. Roberson also appear (relationship presently unknown). An Absalom Roberson received a Land Patent in Lawrence Co., AL prior to William's move there and may have been related. James Absalom Roberson married Annie Helen TAYLOR, the daughter of J. T. and Amanda Taylor. If you have information William's family I would be delighted to hear from you.

He enlisted in the Union Army in ca. 1863 and served until the end of the Civil War. After the Civil War, he moved to Bedford,Warren and finally to Coffee Co., TN. I am really searching to find more informatiion on the son, James. I have a James WHITE who married Nancy Jane YANCEY KING in Giles County in 1867. They were in Giles County, TN. in 1870 and 1880, but were in Maury Co., TN. in 1900, 1910, and 1920. My James was born cir 1832, died 1901. Nancy Jane, his wife, was born cir 1842, died 1922. Both are buried in Gibsonville Cem. in Giles County. I don't know if my James is the son of Reubin WHITE or not, that is what I am trying to find out.

HUTTON

My paternal grandfather was born in Pulaski Tennessee. His name was Will HUTTON. He had several brothers one was name Jimmy HUTTON. Jimmy worked for the Giles County Sheriff Department. My grandfather moved to Nashville after separating from my grandmother. My grandfather died in August 1986 he was buried in the Veterans cemetry since he was a WW I veteran. He married my grandmother and her name was Jodie Ruth ROBERTSON. My grandfather also had one other child from a previous marriage name Emma Lake HUTTON. They had a son which was my father name William Cecil HUTTON born in Marshall County Farmington or Lewisburg on December 20, 1920(1). My father moved to Memphis Tennessee after serving in WW II and the Korean War. and married my mother in December 1950. My father passed on Feb. 11, 1980 at the age of 59. He and my mother had two children.

CALDWELL/COLDWELL-POTTS of Giles County, TN before 1803. Daughter DELILA CALDWELL born Nov. 28, 1779 in Virginia and died September 20, 1881 in Limestone County, AL. DELILA CALDWELL'S father died in eastern TN and she moved with her mothers family to Giles. The CALDWELLS were living in the Ragsdale creek area. DELILA CALDWELL married JAMES MCKINNEY in Giles in 1803, JAMES MCKINNEY is listed in the 1812 tax list for Giles TN and the 1820 for Limestone AL.

JAMES M. BISHOP

In the 1860 census of Giles County, a James M. BISHOP is listed. I am searching for any information on this person that might tell me if he is the James M. I am seeking. My first information on the James m. Bishop I am researching is in Dyer Co in 1880, aged 39. He was born in AL and I am trying to trace him back. Also, the 1870 census wasn't online where I found the 1860 census so he may also be listed in it. Thank you.
