Searching for the parents and siblings of Lizzie CALLAHAN who married
Walter Cleveland SHELTON. He was called "Monk" SHELTON and was a
farmer. He especially raised mules and, as I understand it, was a
pioneer in the mule raising business in Tennessee and Arkansas. They
lived in Giles County and adopted my late husband, B.D. KELLEY. I
have found in the 1920 Giles County Census that, I believe, his
sister was there and her name was Aida. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

We're looking for the family history of Felix G. ADAMS, listed in the
1870 Marengo County AL census at 57 years old, born in Tennessee
(therefore born about 1813, farmer and landowner of value $2,000).
Family (all listed with birthplace as Alabama) consists of Sarah
E.(age 36, presumably not his first marriage), and children George
(age 16, clerk Apothecary), and Laura (14), Walter (12), Thomas F.
(10), and Powell (1). He's listed in the 1860 Marengo County Slave
Schedule, but not in the household census of that year. There is a
Felix Adams listed in the 1890 Giles County TN Veterans Schedule. He
could very well have had an earlier marriage and family in Tennessee
prior to marrying Sarah around 1850-53. Anyone have any possible
connections with him? Hoping that his "un-ordinary" first name will
help us find him in the multitude of Adams in Tennessee! Thanks for
any bit of information or advice, no matter how small.

If you think we might connect, I'd love to hear from you!
