I'm looking for any information on Thomas Franklin Myers/Meyers....parents, siblings, etc. According to his son's, Samuel Henry Myers, death certificate, Thomas was born in Pulaski, Giles County Tennessee in 1848. Thomas was in Pulaski Co., Arkansas in 1876 when he married Mary Maranda Glover. The family lived in Saline Co., AR until 1909 when they moved to McCurtain Co., OK. Need information an Alexander Thornton, b. 1833 TN, who married Spicy Carter, b. 1831 TN, and lived in Lawrence and Giles County, TN. Their children were Eli J., Berry Newton, Will Ellik (believe this to be William Alexander), Jim Sam, and Sallie F. (my gg-grandmother). Sallie's two children were John Edward and George Wesley Thornton. John moved in adulthood to Mt. Pleasant, and George stayed at Thornton family farm in Giles County, Mucklebranch Road off Weakley Creek Road. He married Laura (Maggie) Riner, daughter of Albin Riner and Daisy Crumley. Maggie and George Thornton were my grandparents.

Searching for information concerning Newton Hall and family. Newton and his wife, Phamy (Famy, etc) are found on the 1870 census along with a 5 month old daughter, Mary. My ggrandfather was born in Pulaski, Tn. His name was Edward Hezekiah Ellsworth CURTIS B 15 Aug 1855 or 1858 d 1933 in OK. He married my ggrandmother Clara Lightfoot KING in AL 23 Dec 1880. They had 9 children, some born in Madison Co. Al and some in Tx. They settled in southwestern, Ok. Their oldest child was Willard Presley CURTIS, my grandfather. Any info would be helpful. There may have been HILLs, JOHNSONs or MILLERs in the family.

Andrew BEATY was married to Leah PHILLIPS on December 26, 1872 and together raised a family of 9 children in Elkton, Tennessee, Giles County. BALLENTINE
I am looking for information on Alexander BALLENTINE and his family who were slaves on the Andrew BALLENTINE plantation at Pulaski, Giles County. Oral history says that Alexander was born in Virginia Ca., 1825, and was brought to the Andrew BALLENTINE plantation as a young man. He married Lucinda ___?___ on the plantation Ca., 1845-1846. Their children were: Cage (1846), Jackson (1852), Anthony (?), Rhoda (1860), Jane (1861), Calvin (1865), and Minerva (1867). Alexander died on the plantation Ca., 1867-1869. The family remained on the plantation until mid-1870s, when Lucinda and the family moved to another plantation owned by the BALLENTINES in Panola County, Mississippi.

REED family in Giles Co. My husband's grandfather was William Jennings REED. On records we have his birthplace and date are given as 1851 in TN. No county given. The only REED family I have found in 1860 who has a son William the correct age is a Robert REED in Giles Co. Does anyone have info on the family? His first wife was Josephine.
