They were captured at Fort Donelson and reorganized on 29 Sept. 1862. They later formed into Company &#8216;E&#8217;, 3rd Consolidated Tennessee Infantry Regiment. They were paroled at Greensboro, N.C. on 1 May 1865.<\/p>\n<p>The Field Officers were: Colonels: Robert FARQUARSON and James D. TILLMAN. The Lieutenant Colonels were: Robert G. MCCLURE, James D. TILLMAN and Thomas G. MILLER. Major: Thomas G. MILLER. Captains: Lincoln Co. Co. &#8216;A&#8217;: William W. JAMES, Hugh L.W. LITTLE. Bedford County &#8216;B&#8217;, also called &#8216;G&#8217;, &#8220;The Richmond Gentrys&#8221;: William Lafayette BROWN, Joel C. RUSSELL, Samuel O. WOODS. Lincoln County, Co. &#8216;C&#8217; also called &#8216;H&#8217;: James D. SCOTT, James R. FEENEY, Benjamin J. CHAFIN. Lincoln County, Co. &#8216;D&#8217; &#8220;The Liberty Guards&#8221; : Joseph H. GEORGE, William J. MARCH, Thomas D. GRIFFIS. Lincoln and Marshall Counties, Co. &#8216;E&#8217;: John J. FLY and William B. FONVILLE. Bedford County, Co. &#8216;F&#8217; &#8220;The Shelbyville Rebels&#8221;: Abner S. BOONE, William E. CUNNINGHAM. Franklin County (later Moore County) Co. &#8216;G&#8217;: Conner H. BEAN and William E. MURRELL. Franklin and Bedford Co. &#8216;I&#8217;: Albert G. CLOPTON and A.M. KIETH. Bedford County Co. &#8216;K&#8217;: Littleberry LOGAN, James H. MOORE, william B. BAXTER, Benjamin BOONE, James Y. NORMAN. Marshall County Co. &#8216;H&#8217;: Robert G. MCCLURE and John C. OSBURN.<\/p>\n<p>MCFERRIN, Thomas C. was in the 41st regiment, Army of Tennessee. He is bur. in a cemetery that has some other CSA soldiers&#8217; graves. The cemetery is called &#8220;Prosperity&#8221; and is next to the Prosperity Presbyterian Church near Fayetteville, Lincoln Co., TN. Goldie Barwegen (<a href=\"javascript:secureDecryptAndNavigate('S0fw0o\/vtjxytXiou4yKjo8Cg5wCJDebByd+r93xXs8x8klgJIvte6FzRuUN1ej4KEWGHPDA+ntxYp+iP0DSo\/26d2ITFEfYxkHqVbbXClay', '349aabf7db5349cfaa17f9b5d3fbcaa814d90569de92d68ea6ad6e38b8efc94b')\">gbarwegen [at] kiwi [dot] dep [dot] anl [dot] gov<\/a>) submits this information and says, &#8220;I have searched for information about this McFerrin, Grandfather of my Mother, but have not been successful at finding anything. He gravestone says: Thos. McFerrin, Born Nov. 4, 1842, Died Mar. 17, 1925, A Conferate Soldier, Co. C. 41. Tenn. Regt. C.S.A. There were metal star grave markers at this cemetery for the Civil War Soldiers&#8217; graves, but these are gone now, so those graves are harder to find. This is a well-kept, large, very old cemetery, which is still in use.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>NOAH, Peter J. &#8211; The Texas State Archives contains a copy of Soldier&#8217;s Application for a Pension in the name of Peter J. NOAH, Tarrant County. The petition was filed on January 8, 1914; Approved on December 1, 1913; and Allowed from March 1, 1914. &#8220;&#8230;.I was honorably discharged in the winter of 1864 after the Battle of Franklin Tennessee.&#8221; &#8220;&#8230;.served from December 1862 to January 1864&#8230;. Co. G, 41st Tennessee Infantry.&#8221; Witness M.W. LYTHE &#8220;&#8230;I knew Peter J. NOAH before the war. We were boys together and went to war from the same town, Salem, Tenn&#8230;&#8221; Witness J.M. MAYES &#8220;&#8230;I known Peter J. NOAH&#8230;About 65 years&#8230;In Salem Tenn&#8230; He served as a private soldier. He served nearly four years.
