Most of what you see here currently is Judy&#8217;s work.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">On this site, you will find many <strong>FREE<\/strong> resources to assist with your family history research. It is bordered by <a href=\"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/coffee\">Coffee<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/grundy\/\">Grundy<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/lincoln\">Lincoln<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/marion\">Marion<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/moore\">Moore <\/a>counties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Franklin County is not to be confused with the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/pre1796\/franklin.htm\">State of Franklin<\/a>,&#8221; which was formed before statehood or with &#8220;Franklin, TN&#8221; in Williamson County. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The county seat is <em>Winchester<\/em>. Other cities and towns in the county include <em>Cowan, Decherd, Estill Springs, Huntland, Alto, Salem, Gum Creek, Oak Grove, Belvidere, Owl Hollow, Wilder&#8217;s Chapel.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the Franklin County TNGenWeb site!
