Fayette County, located in West Tennessee, was established in 1824. Named after  Marquis de la Fayette<\/span><\/a>, a soldier in the Revolutionary War. Fayette is bordered by Benton<\/a>, Haywood<\/a>, Shelby<\/a> & Tipton<\/a> counties in TN and Benton & Marshall<\/a> counties in Mississippi.  The county seat is Somerville. <\/span><\/p>\n

Communities in the county include:  Braden<\/a>, Gallaway<\/a>, Grand Junction, , La Grange<\/a>, Macon, Moscow<\/a>, Oakland<\/a>, Piperton, Rossville<\/a>, Somerville, and Williston<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
