This cemetery is located in Dyer County, just South of Dyersburg, Tennessee. Take Highway 51 South out of Dyersburg, go 1 mile from the City Limits to Drew Road (Dr. Pepper Plant on left side of road). Turn right on Drew Road and go .2 of a mile to Pierce Road, turn left. There is a field to your left, at the edge of the field in a clump of woods sits the cemetery. During the summer months, crops in the field could hide the cemetery from view. This cemetery is located in District 12.
There is an 1860 Census with R N (Reuben Nelson) and Mary J listed and their children. It gave middle initials for Ophelia A. and Mary E. The B at the end of her name stands for Butterworth as it's on the base of the headstone. Reuben Nelson Butterworth served in the 20th Tennessee Cavalry during the Civil War and found there was a Butterworth School House located in Dyersburg.
