Wesley Smith, pastor of River Road Baptist Church, will officiate.\u00a0\u00a0 Burial will be Wells Cemetery, Dickson. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Mr. Tipton died Friday at a local hospital of lung cancer. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">He was born Jan. 19, 1917 in McEwen.\u00a0 He was a son of Mrs. Sallie Bruce Biggs and the late Walter Tipton.\u00a0 Mr Tipton was married to the former Miss Mable Choate, a native of Nashville. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">He was employed as a\u00a0 block Mason.\u00a0 He was a veteran of World War II. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Survivors, in addition to his wife and mother are his daughter Mollie of Ashland City; two half-sisters Mrs. Helen Cook and Mrs. Margaret Hodge, both of Nashville; a brother Willie Titpon , Memphis ; three half-brothers, Thomas Biggs, Ashland City; Glenn Biggs, Nashville; and Eugene Biggs, Illinois.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Services\u00a0 for\u00a0 Robert Leon Tipton , 49, of Ashland City, will be at 1:30 Sunday at Pettus-Owen &amp; Wood Funeral Home.
