He came to Montgomery Co. at age 17 and was apprenticed to<br \/>\na tailor; later moved to Dickson Co., buying a farm near Charlotte and<br \/>\nopening a tailor shop at Charlotte. He continued at his trade until just<br \/>\nbefore the Civil War, when he turned to farming full-time. He was also<br \/>\nelected to the State House of Representatives in 1837, holding the<br \/>\noffice for a decade, and was a Justice of the Peace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"center\">His first wife (name unknown) was killed in a tornado that hit<br \/>\nCharlotte in 1830. He later married Eliza Crumpler, born 27 Jan 1814 in<br \/>\nDickson Co., died 2 Jul 1906 in Charlotte.<br \/>\nChildren of John Eubank &amp; Eliza Crumpler:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">RICHARD DAILY EUBANK (SR.) &#8211; born 14 Mar 1839 at<br \/>\nCharlotte; died 30 Sept 1921 at Charlotte.<br \/>\nElizabeth Katherine Eubank &#8211; born 5 Feb 1852 at<br \/>\nCharlotte; died 14 Feb 1939 in Dickson,TN.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Daniel F. Eubank &#8211; born ABT 1855 at Charlotte; died<br \/>\n12 May 1936.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"center\"><strong><span data-mce-mark=\"1\">Generation Two:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">RICHARD DAILY EUBANK enlisted in Company D, 49th<br \/>\nTennessee Infantry as a private in 1861 and served until the end of the war.<br \/>\nHe was a farmer and was Dickson Co. Trustee for many years.
