I'm still searching for Granville Tucker. In 1850 DeKalb
Census he was listed as Grandville 13 years old but
that is believed to be an error and is really Granville. That would put
his DOB about 1837. He was Son of Henry
L. & Elizabeth Tucker. He has not been found in DeKalb Co.
Census since. In 9/9/1855 a Granville Tucker married
Mary Ann Morris in Sumner Co., TN. He does not appear in any Sumner Co.
Census either. Does anyone out there have
ties to Henry L. & Elizabeth Tucker or does anyone have any
information on this family other than what is shown
on the 1850 Census? Granville may have been the one who later entered
Biffles Cavalry in Bowling Green, Warren
Co., KY in 09/27/1861. The age factor is very similar. Can anyone
please help? Willing to share what I have if
we can make a tie.

Does anyone know about a ferry being run on the river during
the Civil War by a Russell RIGSBY, in DeKalb Co.
Several Union soldiers were drown along with their horses by
overloading the ferry. He probably purchased the ferry
from Bird RHEA.

Just a thought-no proof: William Wright b. Abt. 1801 in North
Carolina, died October 05, 1865, Dekalb Co., TN.
He married (1) UNKNOWN Bef. 1825. She was born Bet. 1800 - 1810, died
Bet. 1840 - 1849. He married (2) MARY (POLLY)
NEAL Lawrence August 28, 1849 in Wilson County, Tennessee, daughter of
PALLAS NEAL and SARAH. She was born Abt.
1798 in Kentucky, and died Abt. September 15, 1873 in Dekalb County,
Tennessee. William named his 1st known son
Oren Bethel Wright. O.B. Wright was b. October 16, 1825, Smith-Dekalb
County, Tennessee; d. February 18, 1905,
Dekalb County, Tennessee. I am trying to figure out who the first wife
of William Wright was. There was a family
in DeKalb County named Bethel. Does anyone researching the Bethel
family have a missing daughter born between 1800-1810.
Maybe O.B. Wright was named after the Bethel family? I est. the
marriage would have been about 1823-1824.

I am searching for a family that claims TN and AL heritage.
John Henry Wood shows his birthplace as AL (1834)
His father Jefferson T Wood (b 1811) m. Susanna(sp?) Carpenter and was
supposedly born in KY. Only after Jefferson's
death did John H. tell census takers his parents were born in TN. They
settled in Pike Cnty. AR about 1840 (per
census) in an area they called "Caney Fork". Since this family's
movements seem to correspond with Indian
Cessions I am assuming someone was Native American but I don't know who
and I can't find any of them prior to their
move to AR between 1834 and 1840! HELP! Many of their descendants are
buried in a family cemetary near a former
town called Shawmut. I have photos of tombstones with dates. Other
surnames found in this old burial place are:
Haynes, Sparks, & Carpenter. Is anyone researching a family
that had a member (Jefferson T) born in 1811 who
disappeared or moved to AL? Yes, I am desperate.
