Venard B Henley was born on June 1, 1915. He was the son of O V “Dutch”
Henley and Velma L Neal, both buried here. He died on
December 1, 1994 in Wilson Co., TN. "Vernard B Henley" married "Mary
Lawrence" in DeKalb Co., TN on June 15, 1935. It seems that this Mary
is the same person as Flossie. Also the 1940 census of District 19,
DeKalb Co., TN shows a "Verna B. Henley" b. 1915/1916, with wife, Deliliah,
and two children. This is also confusing; so will not be pursued
further.
Flossie O Henley, maiden name unknown, was born on February 7, 1923.
The TN Health Dept. death certificate index lists her death differently
from her stone as July 5, 1992 in Davidson Co., TN, but resided in
Wilson Co., TN at the time. The SSDI also gives July 5, 1992 as death
date and residing at Lebanon, Wilson Co., TN, the two sources proving
the tombstone is wrong.
