Robbie Nell Gibbs was the daughter of Faullie and Maggie Henley Gibbs. She was born June 12, 1905 and died December 20, 1927 in Alexandria, DeKalb, TN of pulmonary tuberculosis.

There is no county marriage record, but she was listed as married in her death certificate. Robbie had a child, Billie B. Thorne, b. 1927, living with Robbie's mother in the 1930 census of Alexandria, DeKalb Co., TN. In the 1940 District 1, DeKalb Co., TN census, Billie was living in the household of Allen Thorne, age 65, as his grandson. Allen's son, J C Thorne, age 30, was the only other person in the household, and was probably Billie's father and husband of Robbie.

It appears that "Jay C. Thorne" was born in Wilson Co., TN on Nov. 8, 1907, son of Allen and Julia (Patterson) Thorne (md: Nov. 3, 1897 Wilson Co., TN). He died, according to the SSDI and the TN Health Dept. death index, on January 9, 1984 at Watertown, Wilson Co., TN.
