Elizabeth was likely the daughter of Charles F. Jones (b. abt. 1823 TN)
and Rebecca MNU (b. abt. 1826 TN) listed in District 12 of Warren Co.,
TN in the 1850 census and in District 5 of DeKalb Co., TN in the 1860
census. Their daughter, Mary Elizabeth, was age 4 in the 1850 census
and age 13 in the 1860 census. She was buried in the same cluster of
two rows among the Jenkins siblings (children of David and Elizabeth)
and their spouses and families.

M. Jenkins was born July 15, 1845 in TN and died April 22, 1926 in
Jasper Co., MO where his death
certificate states his parents were David Jenkins and __ Vanatta (now
from this MO. death cert. we know that David's wife, Elizabeth was a
Vanatta). He is seen in the 1860 census of DeKalb Co., TN. William
was married to Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jones on December 25, 1868, had
the one son, Thomas, who died as an infant (buried next to Lizzie), and
after Lizzie died William later married Mary Elizabeth Fite in DeKalb
Co., TN on January 5, 1876.
William
M. Jenkins and Mary Elizabeth Fite lived in DeKalb Co., TN in the 1880
census next to Isaac N. Fite. Their children were: James Manly (b.
Dec., 1876 DeKalb Co., TN), Mattie E. (b. January 1880 DeKalb Co., TN),
Hattie B. (b. Feb., 1882 DeKalb Co., TN), Sallie F. (b. July, 1886
Lawrence Co., MO), Lena M. (b. Sept., 1888 Lawrence Co., MO), William
H. (b. May, 1891 Lawrence Co., MO) and Mollie P. (b. June, 1893
Lawrence Co., MO). By the time of the 1910 census William was in Jasper
Co., MO.
William M. Jenkins was buried in Harvey Cemetery, Jasper Co., MO along with his second wife, Mary Elizabeth Fite.
William's
second wife, Mary Elizabeth Fite, was born April 11, 1854 at Forks of
the Pike (between Alexandria and Liberty), DeKalb Co., TN and died
October 2, 1934 in Jasper Co., MO. She was the daughter of Thomas
W. Fite (1822) and Sarah "Sally" D. Evans (1828).
