Lavonia Chumbley

Lavonia Francis Chumbley has a homemade tombstone. It had an angel
embedded in
the concrete, but the angel is gone in 2012. She died in Cannon Co.,
TN, a widow at age 66, but resided in Wilson Co., TN. She was the wife
of David Crockett Chumbley of Statesville, Wilson Co., TN. No marriage
record found, but the couple were together in the 1920 census with a
child aged 2 years 5 months. Lavonia's maiden name unknown.
David Crockett Chumbley was born May 20, 1883, the son of John and
Peggy (Chumbley) Chumbley. He died March 1, 1958 in Wilson Co., TN. He
was buried at Campground Cemetery in Watertown, Wilson Co., TN.
Their children:
(1) Mary (b. 1917/1918)
(2) Magdaline (b. abt. 1928) md James Albert Cozart on April
10, 1947 in Wilson Co., TN. She died May 20, 1976 at age 48 (supports
the 1928 birth year listed in the 1940 census) in Davidson Co., TN, but
resided in Wilson Co., TN.
