Ava E Alexander was born December 13, 1887 in DeKalb Co, TN. Her
parents were Reuben and Permelia Catherine (Davis) Alexander. Ava's mother is buried here. Ava
died January 2, 1947 at McFarland Hospital in Lebanon,
Wilson, TN of cardiac failure and heart disease. She was buried January
3, 1947.
Freelan Marshal Burton was born on February 4, 1881 (from WWI draft
registration). He married Ava Alexander in about 1893. He died on
August 7, 1960 in Wilson Co., TN, but resided in DeKalb Co., TN.
Their children:
(1) Lola Mae (b. 1908) md. George Lawrence Gibbs, both buried here
(2) Alger (b. abt. 1912) md Rosie May Barret on May 10, 1935 in DeKalb Co., TN
(3) Robert (b. 1917) md Etta Francis Barrett, both buried here
(4) Laura Catherine (b. 1921) md. Walter H. Barrett, both buried here
The
three Barrett spouses here were all siblings and children of Marler M
and Fannie (Gass) Barrett of Smith Co., TN (md. February 27, 1906 Smith
Co., TN).
