1891. His parents were Christopher Columbus Vanatta and Mary A. Hicks,
according to his delayed TN birth certificate and his WWI draft
registration. He married
Bettie Corinne Foutch on December 18, 1921 in DeKalb Co, TN.
Elva died December 21, 1969 in DeKalb Co, TN. He served in
World War One as a Private in Company A of the 162nd Depot Brigade from
TN.
Bettie Corinne Foutch Vanatta was born August 3, 1897 in DeKalb Co, TN
and died July 30, 1969 in DeKalb Co, TN. She was the daughter
of Martin and Jennie Foutch. She was buried at East View
Cemetery in Alexandria, TN.
