Andrew Jackson Williams was the son of Charles Martin Williams
and Sarah Oakley, both born in DeKalb Co., TN. Andrew's DeKalb Co., TN
death certificate states he was born in DeKalb Co., TN on July 7, 1867,
and he died in District 12 of DeKalb Co., TN on October 30, 1945. He
married Effie May Vanatta on December 9, 1896 in DeKalb Co, TN.
Effie was the daughter of John and Katharine Measles
Vanatta. She was born May 22, 1867 and died August 10, 1923
in Dowelltown, DeKalb, TN. Cause of death was pulmonary tuberculosis.
Burial was August 10.
Andrew remarried, after the death of Effie, to Minnie May Reynolds on
July 30, 1926 in Smith Co., TN. "May" (b. March, 1879 and d. October
27, 1957 Lone Oak Rest Home, Alexandria, DeKalb Co., TN) was the
daughter of Alonzo Reynolds and Josephine Smith. May was
buried in Gordonsville Cemetery, Smith Co., TN by Avant Funeral Home.
