T. A. Reeves' stone is a Civil War monument. The Civil War records show this man's name was Thomas A Reeves, and that he was age 38 when he enlisted in 1862. His death was January 13, 1889 according to the US government record cards of headstones provided for deceased veterans. Another unknown source gives his birth date as October 16, 1924.

Thomas married first to Elizabeth Turner, who was born abt. 1830. They married in Wilson Co., TN on January 6, 1848.

Children of Thomas and Elizabeth:

(1) Emily "Emma" Jane (b. January 29, 1848/1849 Wilson Co., TN- d. Aug. 13, 1900 Davidson Co., TN, buried Watertown, Wilson Co., TN [maybe in Talley Cemetery with the rest of her family?]) md. Jerome E. Goodner July 23, 1865 in Wilson Co., TN. Jerome served in the 5th TN Cavalry (Union) in the Civil War. She filed for his pension July 21, 1890.
(2) Catherine (b. abt. 1852 Wilson Co., TN- d. betw. 1900-1910) md. Thomas R. Jennings on August 27, 1871 in Wilson Co., TN.
(3) Elizabeth (b. abt. 1854 Wilson Co., TN)

Thomas married second to Carolina Annie McKee, who was born abt. 1823. They married on March 10, 1856 in Wilson Co., TN.

Children of Thomas and Anna- all born in Wilson Co., TN:

(1) Mary (b. 1857) md. Joel T. Adamson Oct. 3, 1874 DeKalb Co., TN. Mary was buried here.
(2) Ella (b. abt. 1858)
(3) John Bell (b. April 25, 1860- d. January 4, 1938 Wilson Co., TN ) md. Emma Frances Jennings, buried Prosperity Cemetery.
(4) Thomas A. "Dutch" (b. abt. 1863/1865) buried here

Thomas was married third to Evaline (nee Loyd) Forrester on July 13, 1864 in Wilson Co., TN. Evaline was previously married to Isaac Forrester on December 1, 1859 in Wilson Co., TN. Evaline was the daughter of Lemuel and Harriet (Jones) Loyd.

Child of Evaline and her first marriage to Isaac Forrester whom she brought into this household when she married Thomas A. Reeves:

(1) William (b. abt. 1861). This is not the son of Thomas A. Reeves, but the son of Thomas' third wife by her first marriage to Isaac Forrester. In the 1900 Wilson Co., TN census William is named William Forrester, and his "half brothers" Edgar and Charlie Reeves are living with him. All had the same mother, Evaline, who was also residing with them.

Children of Thomas and Evaline- all born in Wilson Co., TN:

(1) Charles (b. abt. 1867- d. between March 13 and March 20, 1911 in Oklahoma City, OK), buried here. His brief obituary appears on this DeKalb Co., TNGenWeb site in the obituaries section. He has no legible grave marker. Charles married on January 10, 1894 in Smith Co., TN to Cornelia Thomas (b. abt. 1875? [1910 census]- death cert, uncertain informant, states born Dec. 1866, and 1866 matches the censuses while in her parents' household.). She was the daughter of Frank B. Thomas and Mary Johnson. Their son was Adelpha (b. abt. 1899 [1910 OK cenusus]). Cornelia and the son, Adelpha, had moved to Alexandria, DeKalb Co., TN by 1920 following the death of Charles. Cornelia, still listed as Alexandria, TN residence, died in Central State Hospital, Davidson Co., TN on January 21, 1941. She was buried in Talley Cemetery also without a legible stone.

(2) Lemuel (b. abt. 1868) md. Almeda McMillin (Almeda buried in Jones Cemetery)
(3) Robert (b. abt. 1871)
(4) Jessie Maude (m) (b. Aug. 28, 1873- d. Nov. 15, 1928 Alexandria, DeKalb Co., TN), buried "Liberty, TN"
