Louisa Jane (nee Jennings) (Adamson) was married to Isaac Mullinax (b.
abt. 1814) on November 23, 1865 in Wilson Co., TN. She was the former
wife of Simeon P. Adamson (b. abt. 1836), whom she had married December
29, 1855 in Wilson Co., TN. Simeon had died between 1860-1865. After
her marriage to Isaac Mullinax, her Adamson children are in the
household mixed with Isaac's children by his previous marriage and also
with a third set of children belonging to Louisa and Isaac. Louisa's
middle name and her maiden name came from the death certificate of her
daughter Cynthia (Mullinax) Granstaff, and Louisa's first name is from
the census and her marriage record.
Louisa
was the daughter of Joel (b. abt. 1792 NC) and Cinthy (MNU) Jennings
(b. abt. 1797 NC). Simeon P. Adamson was the son of William Adamson (b.
abt. 1815) and Mary (MNU).
Isaac
Mullinax was the son of Levi and Nancy (Brown) [b. abt. 1885 NC]
Mullinax. He married first to Huldah Turner on November 13, 1837
in Wilson Co, TN. He married second to Louisa Jane (Jennings).
Children of Louisa and her first husband, Simeon P. Adamson: (1) Joel T. (b. 1856), md. Mary Reeves, and she is buried here. (2) William (b. abt. 1860) (3) John M. (b. Dec. 23, 1856 or abt. 1862- d. June 30 1919 in Wilson Co., TN) buried Hearn Cemetery
