John C. Roberts was born in DeKalb Co., TN, the son of Thomas John Roberts
and Samantha Jane "Jennie" Jenkins [married Oct. 24, 1874 DeKalb Co., TN], both parents buried here. He died in
Alexandria, District 13, Wilson Co., TN of flu and bronchial pneumonia.. He married Florence Jennings
on January 9, 1909 in DeKalb Co., TN.
Florence Jennings was the daughter of Thomas R. and Catherine (Reeves)
Jennings [parents married Aug. 27, 1871 Wilson, TN]. No TN death certificate
found.
