Joseph Harris Gatton was the son of Joseph William and Nancy Emeline
(McKee) Gatton, his mother buried beside him. He was born and died in
Wilson Co., TN at Alexandria. His death certificate differs from the
stone in that it states he was born in 1864 and died March 10 instead
of the 11th. He married Alice Foutch on April 15, 1885 in Wilson, TN.
Alice
Foutch was possibly the daughter of John Calvin and Julia E. (nee
David) Foutch of Alexandria, Dekalb Co., TN, and if so, was born about
1866. She died before 1900.
Their children:
(1) Maude L. (b. 1886) md. Thomas Harvey, both buried here
