David R Roberts was born November 30, 1844 in Virginia, most likely the
Culpeper county area. His parents were William W Roberts and Martha
Robinson, the father buried here. He enlisted in the Civil War and was
in the 4th TN Mounted Infantry.
Mary Jane Turner was born in Wilson Co, TN about February 1847/1848.
She was the daughter of James (b. 1808 VA) and Catherine "Katie"
(Robinson) (b. 1811 TN) Turner of Round Top, District 13, Wilson
Co., TN 1860. She married David Roberts on February 4, 1866 in Wilson
Co, TN. The 1900 census states she had 7 children. She died berween the
1900 and 1910 census. No death certificate.
Their children were: (1) Margaret Alice (b. 1866) buried here (2) Robert S. (b. abt 1872) (3) Lillie (b. 1873) buried here (4) William J. (b. abt. 1874) (5) Susanna (b. abt. 1876) (6) James Calvin (b. abt. 1878) (7) Martha "Patsy" V. (b. 1881) md. Baxter O. Robinson, both buried here
