Dr. F.M. Johnson was in our neighborhood last week.

J.E. Adamson and wife will leave for their home in Nashville tomorrow.

Ike Fite had a good mare to die a few days ago.

James T. Terrell is sick with flux.

A.W. Cox is better this week.

Mrs. Nannie Talley is still improving.

Mrs. Dovie Word is very sick with flux.

Nubern Smith and lady from near Pickup were visiting the family of R.I. James.

White Cox, republican candidate for County Court Clerk has been in this county this week.

N.T. Ferrel and T.H. Knight will start their sawmill next week.

John F. Patton and Ed Jennings have returned from Murfreesboro where they have been to procure a band wagon for the Statesville Cornet Band.

Jas. Fite and family have been visiting relatives here. They left to visit at Forks of Pike.

J.B. Adams of Cottage Home comes up on a visit often.

Jno. Davenport and Uncle Havre Smith paid Woodbury a flying trip today.

Jno. Brasher of Russelville, Kentucky visiting his brother, Thomas B., of this place.

Geo. Sloan and Mrs. Lovie Fite were quietly married on Sandy's Fork.

Haywood Champion has taken charge of the Rock House since the death of Dubb Hawkins, son of Jno. A. Hawkins.

Fire destroyed the kitchen of Steve Goodner (col.) on last Wednesday.

Dick Nolan was here last week.

R.L. Floyd and wife are visiting relatives in White county.

John Rutland is at Clarktown and has gained 12 lbs. in weight.

Stanton Malone will teach the school at new Hope.

Miss Hattie Bowers is teaching the school at the Simpson school house in Smith County.

Tom Hall and wife returned Wednesday.

Sid M. Gibson was here Saturday.

W.W. Donnell and Mr. Baird came up from Lebanon Sunday.

Mrs. James Neal and sons of Lebanon are visiting B.F. Bell.

Mrs. Cooper and children and Mr. Goldstone of White county are visiting at J.T. High's.

Hatton Shaver of Grant was here last week.

The subscription lists for building a fence at the graveyard are in possession of T.W. Goodner.

Ace Hill has sold out his business at Cookeville and his wife arrived at this place today.

Miss Hattie Blackburn, Hallie Kithchens and Azel Barry are sick this week.

Will Hale came over from Carthage today. Alden Hale will enter school at the Masonic Normal.
