I am researching my family name, LAWSON, I
know that my greatgrandfather lived in Cumberland Co. Tennessee. His
name was JohnLawson, his wife was named Dora. They had 4 children,
EugeneArmstead, b. Apr.27,1885, a daugh. named Callie, b. ??, a son
namedOscar, b. ??, and another son, name unknown. The family moved
fromthe area around 1890-1900 to LeFlore Co. Mississippi. John died
onOct. 12,1905 and is buried in the Confederate Cemetery at Beauvoir
inBiloxi, MS. Dora is buried in Shaw MS, I dont know much more
thanthat. I would like to know if anyone might have Dora Lawson's
maidenname, Im guessing but it might be Armstead since Eugene's
middle namewas Armstead. I understand the marriage records were lost
around1905, but was hoping somebody might know more than Ido about
John andDora's marriage records and other earlier Lawson lineage.

researching my branch of the WHEELER family. MyG-Grandfather Charles
James Wheeler arrived in this country fromBristol,England sometime
before 1864 as my Grandfather Charles James Jr. was born in
Aurora,Ill. Nov. 11,1864. Charles Sr. purchasedland and an inn at
Crab Orchard, Cumberland Co. Tenn in 1867 and moved the family
there.Members of the family still live in Crab Orchard.Charles Sr.
died Aug.25,1874.My G-Grandmother Amanda Wheeler(nee Hill) born Feb.
9, 1838 in New York State, re-married WilliamG. Renfro born Mar.
8,1850(in Cumberland Co.? ).A Robert Renfro Jr.believed to have been
a grandchild of this marriage is know to have done extensive research
on the WHEELER,RENFRO family, including travel in this country and in
England. Am particularly interestedin locating the results of his
research. RobertJr. had two daugthersNancy and Jane Renfro, never
