My grandmother was born Grace Drennen? in 1917 somewhere in themountains of Tennessee. I am not sure of the last name however. I doknow that there is American Indian blood in her family as mygrandfather was from Germany. I have an Uncle whom could pass for afull-blooded native american.I do not know where in Tn. she was bornbut her Social Security Card was issued from Tennesse.To the best ofmy knowledge Grace did not have a middle name. Does anyone have any information on the family tree for Ples GibsonHayes, born 1845, buried in Dogwood Cemetery. I think his father wasnamed James Hayes, but I have scant information about him. need information on my gg grandmother who was orphaned in the 1860'sas an infant. She was named "Aader" Hatcher as she was adopted by a Hatcher family of Marmaduke, Arkansas. She married Carl Archibald ofGreene county,Arkansas and her daughter Julia Archibald married EdwinMoore. They moved to Newbern, Dyer county, Tennessee and raised alarge family there. I'm looking for ANYTHING about my gggrandmothers' family. She wasborn Margaret BRITT and is listed in the 1850 Bledsoe Co. census asthe 16 year old daughter of John-age 45 (born in S.C.) & TellithaBRITT-age 33 born in (N.C.with no maiden name given) along with asister,Nancy-12 and two brothers-A.J. age 4 and James M. age 3. The1860 Cumberland Co. Census has a John BRITT MOYERS listed at age 53with a wife LILITHA- and 5 children Andrew J.,James M.,Columbus,Johnand Mary E. My family history has Margaret as being a Choctaw and herfamily possibly still hiding from the Removal Act. Is this why JohnBRITT may have changed his name? A postscript to the 1860 census saysthat the census takers spelling was careless. Even if this is thecase I would like to know anything about John BRITT(MOYERS) &Tellitha BRITT(MOYERS). CAMPBELL,VAN WINKLE

Looking for information on the CAMPBELL and VAN WINKLE line fromPleasant Hill Community and areas around it. Trying to find out aboutCampbell's that are buried in Browntown. Merlin Campbell m. VernaLucille Van Winkle. Merlin's mother is still alive at 102 and in anursing home in Crossville . Any help on this line would be great.

Request info on Francis Clark and wife, Mary. They were living inCumberland Co. in 1860. They moved to White Co. and had the followingchildren: Eva Lou,born Aug.2,1862(my g-gr-mother),Fred,Ephraim,Jeff,Dixie, and Clay. Eva Lou attended Pleasant Hill Academy in late1870's. The family later moved to Kansas.
