JNO. E. PEARSON's - Will - Probated September Term 1880 Minute Book "C" page Crockett County Tenn Augs 31 1880 We the undersigned witnesses were present and called on by JOHN E. PEARSON to witness all of his last request, as to his business affairs and that he stated that he had rented the mill gin and fixtures to WILLIAM H. PEARSON for one year at the sum of Six hundred dollars and had neglected taking any note for same but had received some pay on the rent as would show one settlement and had let the said W. H. PEARSON have timber from his lands that amount not known, but I wish MR. S. A. KIMBALL and some one else to measure the timber and W. H. PEARSON to settle for the same at customary price, and further stated that as one JOHN W. WILKS had a deed of trust on the land known as the WILKS land that his wish was that thare be sold of said land one hundred acres or enough to pay said debt, and that his other personal property including the mill & gin and fixtures and his hous and lot in the town of Bells would pay off all of his honest debts, and further appointed to settle his affars his wife and if she saw proper not to do so she should select some good man to attend to the same without bond for hir and after debts wer paid that it was his will and request, that all that might be left, after paying his debts of personal or real estate should go to his wife MARY D. PEARSON and his daughters MATTIE A. PEARSON and ELIZA J. PEARSON, all of the above is a true statement as made to us by J. E. PEARSON now deceased.
