I NEEDHAM MOORE of the County of Crockett and State of Tennessee do hereby make and publish this my last will and Testament...

Mentions...

... all of my real estate be equally divided among all of my lawful heirs... in the following manner (towit) That each of my heirs have a voice in the selection of three or five competent persons (as may be aggreed on by them) those of my own children at are or may be dead being represented by their companion or one of their decendants in making the selection of said commishioners and after being duly sworn to make fore and just division...

Beloved wife, SAPHRONEY E. MOORE, that she be alloted dower in said lands (including mansion House and out buildings) to the extent of one third of all my real estate...

As I made to my son JAMES M. MOORE in his lifetime deed to twenty acres of land then in (Gibson County Tenn) and he failed to pay the purchase money, I direct & order that in alloting the share to his heirs that the same be taken into consideration...

I NEEDHAM MOORE of the County of Crockett & state of Tennessee do make and publish this as a codicil to my last will and testament written November 13th 1883, hereby commanding my Executor to collect the notes held by me (to the amount of two thousand dollars) against R. J. WILLIAMS and invest the money thus collected in other lands, wherever he may deem best. The lands thus purchased shall be disposed of as my other real estate or as directed in my will. This January 7, 1884.
