I, JAMES LEWIS of the County of Crockett and the State of Tennessee being of sound mind and good memory do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament...

1st. I give my wife and my daughter SARAH ALICE LEWIS all of my personal property consisting of mules wagon and harness, cattle, hogs, household and kitchen furniture, moneys, notes accounts and Judgments, and all grain food and provender on hand including the present crop, and the rents due me for this year and all my tools, and farming utensils, and four certain rent or lease notes on A. C. RAINES, in fact all of my personally property of every kind and character.

2nd. I request that as soon as possible after my death my wife or my Executor pay any debts...

3rd. I give and bequeath to my wife and my daughter SARAH ALICE LEWIS Jointly my homestead... of about one hundred and thirty acres as follows: 22 acres bought from D. H. JAMES, 43 acres from S. C. HARPOOL, 25 1/2 acres from HENRY DUNLAP, 13 acres from C. B. JONES, 9 acres from S. C. HARPOOL and a strip to be cut off of the 82 acre JONES tract as follows; to begin at the THOS. JAMES heirs S.E. corner... to A. C. RAINES tract bought of J. H. L. MOONEYHAN... to be owned and controlled by my wife MRS. EDNA LEWIS and my daughter SARAH ALICE LEWIS and if my daughter SARAH ALICE LEWIS should die without bodily heirs I desire and direct that after the death of my wife and said daughter that said land shall go to and be owned by my Grandson WILLIE LEWIS son of JAMES LEWIS.

4th. The remainder of my land consisting of about three hundred and forty five acres, I give equally to my other six children namely, GEORGE W. LEWIS, JAMES W. LEWIS, JOSEPH W. LEWIS, HILLIARD W. LEWIS, MRS. ELIZA J. MOORE and MRS. DISSIE E. CLARK's heirs to be divided equally between them... and J. W. ROSAMON, M. L. JAMES and A. C. RAINES are appointed commissioners divide and allot to said heirs the said land.

5th. I have advanced cash to my son GEORGE W. LEWIS one hundred and twenty dollars and to my son HILLIARD LEWIS one hundred and fifty dollars and I desire and direct that they shall have respectively that amount less of my land than my other 4 heirs.

6th. I hereby appoint M. L. JAMES my Executor...

7th. I direct that the commissioners appointed to divide my land among my six heirs shall run the lines east and west and shall allot JOSEPH W. LEWIS his share off the South... and ELIZA J. MOORE next and HILLIARD W. LEWIS next and MRS. CLARK'S heirs next and JAMES W. LEWIS next and GEORGE W. LEWIS next.

8th. I agree that my son HILLIARD W. LEWIS may sell his share of said land to any of his brothers or sisters joining the same if he do desire but shall not sell the same to any other person.

9th. If any one of the commissioners appointed to divide said land shall die or fail to act then M. L. JAMES shall appoint others to act in their place...

10th. If my wife and daughter SARAH ALICE LEWIS die leaving any portion of the personal property heretofore given them the same shall go to my Grandson WILLIE LEWIS son of JAMES LEWIS.

11th. A. C. RAINES having a lease contract for four years after this year on a certain field I desire same to stand...
