MRS. ELIZABETH LEWIS Will Probated April Term 1893 Minute Book F Page 55, 56 & 57 I MRS. ELIZABETH LEWIS being of sound memory do hereby make this as my last will and testament... First I will and direct that my Executor herein after named shall pay all my just debts and funeral expences... Second I will and bequeath that all my property of every description that may be on hand at my death shall be equally divided among all my children to witt; LONNIE LEWIS, ALBEA LEWIS, MARION LEWIS, ELAM LEWIS, MINTIE LEWIS, and VIOLETT LEWIS but as I have heretofore given my son LONNIE and my daughter ALBIE one mule & bed & bed clothing each which I value at One Hundred and Seventy five Dollars they shall be charged with the same and the other children are to have the same kind of property or an amount in value to one Hundred & seventy five Dollars before the said LONNIE and ALBIA are to share in the division & should I give to any of the other children any property before my death the same is to be accounted for by them in the division. Third I will and direct that my Executor herein named in connection with SOL H. CLARK and J. N. McMILLAN shall divide the property and equalize the shares among my children as provided in the above item... Fourth Should there not be sufficient money on hand or notes or accounts owing me to pay my debts and funeral expences then I direct my Executor to sell property sufficient to realize the same. Fifth I am the guardian for my two children MINTIE & VIOLETT and I have certain notes Executed to me as Guardian to cover all liabilities as said Guardian, but in the event they are not sufficient then sufficient property is to be sold to pay off the same and I direct and request that my son MARION LEWIS be appointed their Guardian or should he for any reason not act then S. H. CLARK be appointed as said Guardian. Sixth I will and direct and hereby nominate and appoint my son MARION LEWIS as the Executor of this will In witness I hereto subscribe my name.
