Will of G. W. Kail - Dated 5 Sep 1898

I G. W. KAIL of the fifth district of Crockett County & State of Tennessee of the age of forty four years, and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say

First I direct my Executor hereinafter named to see that all my debts and burial and testamentary expenses are paid out of my estate.

Second I give and bequeath to my wife all of my estate both real & personal property that is 52 acres of land (be the same more or less) and all the household and kitchen furniture & all stock buggies wagons and all farming implements and all the products of the farm that are on hand at the time of my decease, to have and to hold said 52 acres of land (be the same more or less) during her natural life and after her decease I give & bequeath said land to ALICE ELIZABETH BAKER (daughter of B. A. BAKER) to her and to heirs providing she has any heirs & if she ALICE E. BAKER (described above) dies intestate said land to be equally divided between GEORGE FANNING BAKER (Son of B. A. BAKER) and GEORGE CLARENCE KAIL (Son of WM. & SARAH KAIL). But all of my personal property I give that unto my wife also during her natural life & after her decease & her funeral expenses are paid if there is anything on hand of the personal property left; I bequeath Fifty Dollars to DORA KAIL (daughter of JOSEPH KAIL) and the remainder if any to said ALICE E. BAKER if living; if she said ALICE E. BAKER be deceased I bequeath & give the remainder to said G. F. BAKER and G. C. KAIL equally.

Third I hereby appoint BENJAMIN A BAKER the sole Executor of this my last Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time made.
