Will of Newton Harris - Dated 15 Oct 1880

I NEWTON HARRIS do make and publish this as my last will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all others by me at any time made.

First I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any moneys that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my Executor.

Secondly I give and bequeath to wife NANCY HARRIS Five Hundred Dollars and as much of the house hold property as she may see proper to take.

Thirdly I give and bequeath to my Sons & Daughters as follows in monies I mean my sons my son RICHARD HARRIS I give Three Hundred Dollars in his own note my son ROLAND HARRIS HARRIS (as written) I give Three Hundred Dollars in his own note my daughter LOUISA I give one hundred & fifty Dollars to be paid in money as I do not hold her note for any thing. I give to my son L. H. HARRIS Three Hundred Dollars this Three Hundred Dollars is to serve as a credit to come off a note I hold against him for Seven Hundred and forty six Dollars. I give to my Daughter SALLIE now MRS. JONES Five hundred & fifty Dollars to be paid in money as I do not hold her note for any thing. My Grand daughter MINNIE HARRIS now W. W. RICHARDSONS wife I give Fifty Dollars to be in money as I do not hold her note for any thing. I give to my son SIDNEY HARRIS Three Hundred dollars as a credit on a note that I hold against him.

Fourthy I desire at my death that my residence of one acre including all the houses be sold and equally divided between all my children also if there should be any Redy money on hand my desire is that it shall be equally divided between all my children.

Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint L. H. HARRIS my Executor.
