Will of Sophia T. Hargett - Dated 21 Apr 1887

I SOPHIA T. HARGETT being of sound mind but feeble in body do hereby make this will hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time made I hereby give and bequeath to my Grand daughter S. R. WALTER who is now living in Memphis Tenn the house and lot upon which I now live to have and to hold to her forever.

2 - I hereby give and bequeath to my son JIMMIE one feather bed two pillows and a white counterpain the same coverlead to be heald by S. R. WALTER until he calls for the same or until he is informed of the fact and should he not call for the same after he is informed then she is to have the said property.

3rd - I further direct that my executor hereinafter mentioned so soon after my death as practacable shall sell at public sale all the pursonal property belonging to me being my household and kitchen furniture except the above mentioned feather bed pillows and coverlead and counterpane and out of the proceeds of said sale pay my necessary funeral and burial expenses, and the remainder including all debts that may be owing to me that may remain after paying the same and the expences of winding up my estate be paid to my said Grand daughter MRS. WALTER. In the event there should not be sufficency of my personal property mentioned above to pay the above expences I direct that the said MRS. WALTER pay the same before she can have the bequest given to her to said house and lot and the said Executor is directed and empowered to sell the same and pay said expences and then pay the remainder of said money to said MRS. WALTER.

I hereby nominate and appoint W. H. BIGGS as Executor of this my will. This April 21st 1887
