State of Tenn., Crockett County

July the 24th day 1893, In the Name of God, I make this my last Will and Testament.

I was born Feb. the 3rd 1808 being now 84 years old.

First I want my wife LUCINDA and my Son JOHN to be Executors for her and children. I will her and ESSEX, GEORGIANNA and LUCINDA EDWARDS, One hundred and fifty acres of land where I now live until their death. If they marry and have children born to them, to be their childrens. I want my wife LUCINDA to hold the One hundred and fifty acres of land where my house is until her death. Her children to have the beds & clothing, one horse, and one cow, and what I have given BETTIE my daughter to have, I hold all until my debts are paid and as long as I may live. All my beds & clothing that I have I want divided between those that have had nothing. I leave REED and JOE my sons to look out for themselves. BETTIE my daughter has had one horse, one cow & calf & hog. REED and JOE have had each of a horse. What beds & clothing that I may have I hold as long as I may live. I have given my Son Wm. A. M. EDWARDS Deceased one hundred acres of land in Gibson County Tenn. for which paid one thousand dollars. Also I paid for the coffin and Shroud twenty five dollars. The land I gave WM. A. M. EDWARDS Deceased is as much or more than I have to give to the other children therefore I leave his heirs out of this my last will. The three horses the boys REED and JOE now to be theirs. Also One hundred acres of land where old TOM lived to be theirs when I die. If they should have any children it goes to them, if none, back to the others after they die, this land is not subject for their debts for any Binders &c.; BETTIE is to have fifty acres where she now lives for herself and her children. But all is mine until my death and all my debts are paid. I want my land rented out until my debts are paid if any at my death. I sign the above as my last Will and wishes to be disposed of in the and manner named in the presence of the witnesses below.
