Will of H. D. CLIFF Probated May 2nd 1921 Minute Book 10 Page __ Know all men by these present that I, H. D. CLIFF of the town of Maury City, Crockett County Tenn, considern the uncertainty of this life and being of sound mind and memory do make and declare and publish this my last Will and Testament, I give to the heirs of my oldest daughter MATTIE N. PARKS, decease Five Dollars ($5.00) as I had paid to her and her heirs there part, and to the heirs of my son JAMES CLIFT, decease five dollars ($5.00) as I had paid there part after the death of my son JAMES CLIFT, and to HATTIE MAURY my youngest daughter of my first wife five dollars ($5.00) as I paid her part before the writing of this Will. And to DELIA my second daughter, Three Hundred Dollars $300.00 in order to make her equal with MATTIE, JAMES and HATTIE, these are all children by my first wife, CELINA (or Colina) CLIFT, deceased. Second I give to MATTIE M. CLIFT and to her heirs H. D. CLIFT JR. and JOSEPH SNEED CLIFT and to all her bodily heirs by the said H. D. CLIFT, all the property that I hold deeds for at my death and all other property owed by said H. D. CLIFT with the exception what is mentioned for the first children. The said MATTIE M. CLIFT is to have privilege to use in the way she may think best for raising and educating the children to sell and convey and make good title to same provided that the said MATTIE M. CLIFT remains with me as my companion until my death, other wise this is a counted as no will at all, but it is null and void. After the children are twenty one years of age the propery is to be exactly divided between the heirs of the said MATTIE M. CLIFT by the said H. D. CLIFT, the said MATTIE M. CLIFT to get a childs part which is to go back to her bodily heirs by the said H. D. CLIFT at her death equally divided. I do nominate and appoint by beloved wife MATTIE M. CLIFT to be the sole Executrix of this my last will and testament. The said H. D. CLIFT reserves the right change any part or the entire will at pleasure during his life, in testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal and publish and decree this to be my last Will and testament in the presence of the witnesses named below, this 22nd day of Jan. 1914 in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fourteen.
