Will of AMANDAY CARTER Probated April the 16th 1906 Know all men by these presents that I AMANDA CARTER of Crockett County Tenn. for the love and affection I have for my son CLABE POWELL and he having lived and taken care of me for a good many years, I do sell and give to him my farm situated and lying in the 10th Civil District of said County, butted and bounded as follows to Wit: on South by HENRY JONES, West by BOOTHE, North by MRS. JENNIE CARTER and on East by Public Road containing 48 acres more or less. To have and to hold this farm to the said CLABE POWELL, his heirs and assigns forever; but CLABE POWELL is to take care of his sister LAURA POWELL and she to live with him. I also will and bequest that all the personal property consisting of one horse "Named Frank" this is LAURA'S, I give Buggy, waggon, household and kitchen furniture also to CLABE POWELL my son, as above agreed to take care of LAURA POWELL. I hereby appoint my son my legal representative and authorize him for me, to give my son GEO. POWELL one dollar in cash, and my son FOUNT POWELL one dollar in case & SILLA CARPENTER my daughter one dollar in cash and my daughter LAURA POWELL one dollar in cash. This is my last Will and Testamony, all others that have been made heretofore is hereby revoked, also I give LAURA POWELL one cow and one heifer. I give to my son CLABE POWELL a lot of shoat, to my son CLABE POWELL all Turkey, Chickens and fowls of all descriptions. This I give to my son CLABE POWELL, freely, willingly, and understandingly.
