August 6th 1877

In the name of God Amen I CHERRY BLUNSTON of the County of Crockett and State of Tennessee being of sound mind and memory and knowing the uncertainty of life and certainty of death and being old and feeling that my end approaching do make and publish this my last will and testament revoking all former will and Codicils

I give and bequeath to my dear friend AMANDA CARTER who has kindly nursed and cared for me in this my sickness and with whom I now stay all my property of every discription Beds bedding A bed stead and bed clothes of every discription after my debts is paid and wearing apparel & all notes accts Choses in action and Claims of every discription &C; In testimony whereof I hereunto fix my hand & set my Seal this August 6 1877.

CHERRY BLUNSTON Will

The undersigned was called by CHERRY BLUNSTON for the following purposes and under the following circumstances to wit We BOLINDA HARTWELL, JAMES HARTWELL on the Evening of August 6 July __ 1877 was at the house of EDMOND CARTER where CHERRY BLUNSTON was then on her bed from sickness she was in her proper mind fully attenal &C; when she of her own accord without any suggestion from any one called on us to witness her disposition of her property saying that AMANDA CARTER has been more to me in my affliction and sickness then a neighbor she has been a mother in kindness and attention and as I have no kin or kith living I give all of my property of every discription after any debts are paid to AMANDA CARTER to wit Bed stead bed clothing wearing apparel notes accounts Choses in actions & all claims due me of every discription She called on each of us to witness this her last will and testament and when discussing the disposal of her property was perfectly sane and rational and lucid in all her directions and wishes. The said CHERRY BLUNTSON (name as written) was at the house of EDMOND CARTER who is the husband of AMANDA CARTER the divise
