The Crockett Times Alamo, Tennessee Thursday, July 29, 1948 Vol. 16 No. 22 Mrs. Dean Young--Funeral services were held Thursday, July 22, at the Oak Grove Methodist Church for Mrs. Dean Young of Gadsden. Rev. Jackson of Humboldt officiated. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Ronk Funeral Home. Mrs. Young was 76 and was born in Crockett County and a member of the Methodist Church. She died at Western State Hospital, Wednesday. She leaves one sister, Mrs. Lee Freeman.
The Crockett Times Midway--Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Ellington, Mr. and Mrs. Jones Gage, Mr. Raymond Ellington, Mrs. S. H. Ellington, Mrs. Robert Horton, Conyers Horton and Danny Stephens attended the funeral of their aunt, Mrs. Dena Young, at Oak Grove last Thursday. Dean/Dena Horton was the daughter of Willis & Mary Horton. She married 24 Nov 1895 in Crockett Co. to J. C. Young. |
