The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, June 13, 1946 Thomas Woods Services were held at Fowlkes Methodist Church at 2 Monday for Thomas Woods, retired Fowlkes merchant, who died at his home Saturday midnight. The Rev. A. T. Evans officiated with burial in Bethesda Cemetery under direction of Garner Funeral Home. Mr. Woods, who was 91, was born in Crockett County and had lived in Dyer County since 1916. He was a Methodist. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mollie Mitchell Woods, three sons, Everett Woods of Halls, Carl Woods of Fowlkes and John Woods of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Lula Childres and Mrs. Alta Smith, both of Fowlkes, and two brothers, Jim and Will Woods of Dyersburg. |
