The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, May 16, 1946 George A. Williams Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Baptist Church in Friendship for George A. Williams, who died at his home near here Monday night of a heart attack. Rev. T. E. Williams, Rev. J. B. Hill and Rev. W. C. Skinner officiated. Mr. Williams was 77 and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. He was born in Crockett County and a prosperous farmer. His friends were legion. Burial in Bell Vernon Cemetery with Evans & Lasiter Undertakers in charge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Mobley Williams and two sons, Eugene Williams and Russell Williams, all of Friendship, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. |
