The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, August 21, 1947 James Benton Wallis Services for James Benton Wallis, retired farmer, who died at his home in Gadsden, Saturday, were held at eleven Monday morning at the Methodist Church in Gadsden with the Rev. Car Davis officiating. Burial in Salem Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Wallis was 78. He was born in Crockett County and was a member of the Methodist Church. He leaves seven children, Jim Wallis of Gadsden, Leland Wallis of Alamo, Erby Wallis, Mrs. Maggie Ezell, O. D. Wallis of Hickman, Ky., Mrs. Lottie Eubanks and Robert Lee Wallis of Oroville, Calif., one brother, T. E. Wallis of Jonesboro, Ark., two sisters, Mrs. Theddie Crocker of Milan and Mrs. Bertha Cooper of Mauldin, Mo. |
