G. C. Walker Obituary

G. C. WALKER--Services have been held for G. C. WALKER, former merchant and chef at Maury City, who died recently of a heart attack. He was 62. He and his wife had established a good dry goods business in Eden, Tenn., in 1946, but he retired from that because of ill health. He was born in Poplar Ridge, Ark., where he spent his early youth. He was a WWI vet, Besdies his wife, he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Cora SMITH and Mrs. Grace WERTZ, of Maury City, and Mrs. May JOWERS, of Jonesboro, Ark. ; a brother, Barney WALKER, of Springfield, Ore.
