THE HALLS GRAPHIC HALLS, TENNESSEE (Lauderdale Co.) FRIDAY JUNE 28, 1946 BOB VAUGHN DIED MONDAY ... George Robert VAUGHN, Crockett County merchant and planter and a veteran of WWI, died Monday night at the Veteran Hospital, Memphis, where he had been a patient since May 30th. He was 56. Services were held Wednesday afternoon from Lebanon Methodist Church with Rev. C. C. LEWIS officiating, burial in Lebanon Cemetery. Born and reared in Crockett County on Halls Route #4, Mr. VAUGHN operated a store and large farming interests in the Vaughn Store Community. During WWI he served as a private in Company M, 46th Infantry. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lera VAUGHN; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Joe S. VAUGHN, Halls; a sister, Miss Ada VAUGHN, Halls; and three brothers, Lyle VAUGHN, Crockett Co., Bernard VAUGHN, Shreveport, La., and Asa VAUGHN, local city mail carrier.
The Crockett Times Bob Vaughn G. R. (Bob) Vaughn died Monday night at the Veteran's Hospital in Memphis where he was admitted May 30. Mr. Vaughn was 56 years of age and had been in failing health for several months. He was born and reared in Crockett County and operated a store and had large farming interests in the Vaughn Store community. He was a veteran of World War I and served as a private in Company M, 46th Infantry. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lera A. Vaughn; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe S. Vaughn of Halls; a sister, Miss Ada Vaughn of Halls, and three brothers, Asa Vaughn of Halls, Lyle Vaughn on this county and Bernard Vaughn of Shreveport, La.
