Obituary for Mrs. Minnie Tinkle, probably from the Dyersburg State Gazette, who died in January 1974. Mrs. Minnie Tinkle, 84, died Sunday at the Parkview Hospital following a long illness. She was the widow of O.C. Tinkle who died in 1934. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 at the Chapel of the Friendship Funeral Home. Mr. Parks Thurmond officiated with the Reverend Donnie Harden assisting. Burial followed in the Yorkville Cemetery. She is survived by five sons, Garrett Tinkle, Edward Tinkle, and Wade Tinkle, all of Dyersburg, Ted Tinkle and J. W. Tinkle, both of Friendship; two brothers, Virgil Roberts of Yorkville, Lewis Roberts of Knoxville; one sister, Mrs. Brian Clark of Friendship; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
