Alamo Signal Alamo, Crockett County, Tennessee Friday January 27, 1911 Sad, indeed, was the death of Mrs. Annie Thompson, wife of Mr. Dos Thompson, and daughter of Dr. Mekins Jackson, which occurred at her home in Memphis, Jan. 10th, at 8:30 o'clock. Mrs. Thompson had been in bad health some time, but had borne her sufferings with heroic courage. She was about 85 years old when the death angel came to bear her away. She was a most affectionate wife, a loving mother, a dutiful daughter, and an active Christian. The funeral services were conducted at her residence on Jan. 11th, in Memphis, after which her remains were shipped to Bells, taken out to the Williams cemetery and laid to rest. Peace to her ashes. |
