Laura Alice "Dollie" Taylor nee Stephenson (b. Sept. 1, 1870, Alamo, Tenn; d. Jan. 19, 1955, Memphis, Tenn.) Jan. 20, 1955, Memphis Commercial Appeal: MRS. DAVE TAYLOR - Lifelong West Tennessean To Be Buried Today - Services for Mrs. Dave Taylor, lifelong West Tennessean who died here yesterday at the age of 84, will be held at 10 this morning at the Baptist Church in Friendship, Tenn.� Burial will be at the Pond Creek Cemetery there, with Friendship Funeral Home in charge.� Mrs. Taylor died at 695 Avalon, where she made her home with two of her daughters, Mrs. Katie Edwards and Mrs. I.A. Cates.� She had been seriously ill two months.� Mrs. Taylor was born in Crockett County, Tenn., and lived there until she moved to Memphis 10 years ago.� Her husband, who died 23 years ago, was a farmer.� She was a member of the Baptist Church.� Mrs. Taylor also leaves another daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Ball of Friendship; a brother, Walter Taylor, also of Friendship; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
